WHAT WE ARE

Landscape Alliance Ireland is an informal partnership of individuals, non-governmental organisations, representative organisations and public officials, committed to quality in our shared landscape that applies to all landscapes from everyday urban landscapes to renowned scenic landscapes.

We seek to provide a platform for open and broad discussions relating to landscape quality and management. Landscape Alliance Ireland is committed to the formulation and implementation of landscape policy at local, regional, national, European and international level to facilitate the development of a framework approach within which effective total landscape management can be achieved. We advocate for good landscape engagement and management and support the implementation of the European Landscape Convention fully.

We organise a national landscape forum annually, facilitate networking among members at national and international level and engage in research and advocacy relating to landscape policy and management.

Membership is open to all of those with an interest and/or commitment to sustaining and enhancing the quality of our landscape.
